CONTROLLER FOR VEHICLE DRIVE DEVICE

A controller for a vehicle drive device, capable of suppressing degradation of a transmission response of drive force when a drive range and a non-drive range are switched between each other. The controller has a drive force source provided in a power transmission route from a stepless transmission to wheels, and also has a clutch provided in a route from the drive force source to the wheels. The drive range and the non-drive range are selectively switchable, where the drive range enables power to be transmitted through the route from the drive power source to the wheels and the non-drive range disables transmission of the power through the route from the drive power source to the wheel. The controller further has a means for determining vehicle speed control request when the non-drive range is switched to the drive range, and also has a drive force source control means for controlling torque of the drive force source based on the determination on the vehicle speed control request.
