PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting/lowering device of a load-carrying platform for a motor truck capable of solving an operational malfunction and a failure caused by the use of a chain, simplifying maintenance, and reducing operation noise. SOLUTION: This lifting/lowering device is provided with a slide moving mechanism 6 capable of slidingly moving the platform 3 from a position for storing the platform on a chassis frame 2 to a position lowering it to the rear of an own vehicle. The slide moving mechanism 6 is provided with a front cylinder 10 connected to the chassis frame 2 side, a load-carrying platform slide cylinder 11 connected to the load-carrying platform 3 side, a moving frame 9 connecting the cylinders 10, 11 with each other via a spindle, a front guide rail 31 guiding the platform 3 in front on the chassis frame 2 according to the activation of the slide cylinder 11, a rear guide rail 33 guiding the moving frame 9 from the rear of the chassis frame 2 to the position lowering it to the rear of the own vehicle according to the activation of the front cylinder 10, and a transferring mechanism transferring the platform 3 guided by the front guide rail 31 to the moving frame 9.
