PURPOSE:To narrow down tracks easily and precisely by fitting a substrate slantingly to a cylinder in such a way that recording loci of plural heads formed on the same substrate to a magnetic recording medium never overlap each other. CONSTITUTION:A head 8 is constituted by photoetching a ferromagnetic thin film of ''Permalloy '' formed on a nonmagnetic substrate 5 of glass, etc., by vapor deposition, sputtering, or electrodeposition, and thus forming a gap 7 and a winding window; respective head chips 4 are formed precisely at equal intervals. This head 8 is fitted to a cylinder 9 at an adequate slanting angle to the rotating direction A of the cylinder to constitute a magnetic head device, and consequently recording loci 2 of respective heads are obtained as shown by dotted lines to obtain a multiple track corresponding to the number of the head chips. Consequently, the fitting angle of the head 8 is adjusted to vary track width and guard band width precisely. |
