PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolytic solution secondary battery capable of quickly breaking a current responding to the temperature increase accompanied by an abnormal current like overcharge or short-circuit, by substantially mounting a PTC element inside an electrode group. SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolytic solution secondary battery houses the electrode group composed of an anode, a cathode, and a separator together with nonaqueous electrolytic solution. Electrode connection tabs 9 are connected to current collectors 6 of the anode and the cathode respectively, and the electrode connection tab at one side is connected to the current collector through the ribbon-shaped PTC element 10.
