PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coffee bean extract-containing aqueous composition having excellent storage stability even at low temperature or under an unstable temperature condition, to provide a method for producing the composition, to provide a packaged beverage, and to provide a method for preventing the precipitation of coffee bean extract. SOLUTION: The coffee bean extract-containing aqueous composition and the packaged beverage contain the coffee bean extract and carotenoids-containing oil-in-water emulsion particles. The method for preventing the precipitation of the coffee bean extract includes mixing a carotinoid-containing oil-in-water emulsion composition into the coffee bean extract-containing aqueous composition.
