<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable thinning, concerning a drive device where an electromechanical converting element is used as a drive source. <P>SOLUTION: The drive device 2 includes a piezoelectric element 6, which expands and contracts by voltage application, a drive shaft 7, which is fixed to one end of the piezoelectric element 6 in the direction of expansion and contraction, a friction part 8, which engages frictionally with the drive shaft 7, a lens holder 9, which is shifted in the direction of the optical axis L of the lens, and a direction converting means A, which reciprocates a lens holder 9 back and forth in the direction of the optical axis L. The direction converting means A is a translation cam mechanism comprising a prime mover 19 and a follower 15, and it changes rectilinear motion in the direction of expansion and contraction into rectilinear motion in the direction of the optical axis L. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
