PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flank collision detection system making it possible to simplify a configuration and reduce a cost.SOLUTION: An internal space 12a of a door body 12 of a front side door 11 and an internal space 6A of a center pillar 6 are allowed to communicate with each other with a door striker 25. The internal space 6A of the center pillar 6 and an internal space 16A of a door body 16 of a rear side door 15 are allowed to communicate with each other over a communication pipe 31. A pressure sensor 35 that detects a variation in a pressure is disposed in the center pillar 6. Various flank collisions on the front side door 11, center pillar 6, or rear side door 15 can be detected using the sole pressure sensor 35. The various flank collisions can be sensed using the sole pressure sensor. The number of sensors can be diminished, a configuration and control can be simplified, and a cost can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
