PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a stator of a rotary electric machine that can secure insulation distance responding to a potential difference generated between conductor wires to suppress deterioration in efficiency and suppress increase in size.SOLUTION: Stator coils comprise: eight straight portions 22a to 22d inserted into slots 13 respectively in a line in a radial direction; and coil end portions 22e to 22g, in which extensions in a circumference direction from two adjacent straight portions inserted into the same slot 13 are alternately repeated radially in different directions and the same direction, that connect respectively a pair of straight portions inserted into a pair of slots 13 spaced from each other by one magnetic pitch. The insulation thickness La between the coil end portions, which circumferentially extend in different directions from the straight portions and are adjacent in a radial direction, and insulation thickness Lb between the coil end portions, which extend circumferentially in different directions from the straight portions and are adjacent in a radial direction, and insulation distance Lc between the coil end portions which are adjacent in a circumference direction satisfy a relation: La, Lc>Lb. |
