In the measurement apparatus according to the present invention for performing indentation/creep testing of a sample, a measurement control device has a load measurement device for measuring a load, a constant-load press-in device for pressing a distal-end part of a transparent indenter into the surface of a sample, and an imaging device for optically capturing an image including a contact area portion at the location of the sample where the load is applied by the constant-load press-in device, and an information processing device has a physical property computation unit for computing a linear regression for a plot of the absolute value of the contact stress and the contact strain rate and determining a creep index n and a creep constant k, the physical property computation unit including an image analysis unit for analyzing the contact area, a first computation unit for subtracting an analytically found plastic contact area from the contact area and computing a viscoelastic contact area, a second computation unit for computing a contact stress from the viscoelastic contact area and a constant load value, and a third computation unit for computing a contact strain rate on the basis of the viscoelastic contact area. The creep index n and the creep constant k as values for the physical property of creep can thereby be evaluated simultaneously, easily, and in a short time. |
