PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine with little noises which reduces wind whizzing noises generated by rotor bars. SOLUTION: The rotating electric machine is equipped with a stator 6, wherein coils 2 are stored in a groove 3 formed in a stator iron core 1, and a stator 9, wherein rotor bars 12 are stored in grooves 11 formed in a rotor iron core 10, are rotatably provided in the stator 6. The rotating electric machine is also equipped with a sheet 19, which is provided along the entire periphery of the inner periphery of the part projected from the stator iron core 1 end of the coil 2, and covers from the end of the stator iron core 1 to the projecting part from the rotor iron core 1 of the rotor bars 12 or to the outer peripheral surface of a short circuit ring 13, short-circuiting the end of the rotor bars 12.
