PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent output paper from being soiled by toner remaining in a nip part. SOLUTION: The fixing device is equipped with: a pressure roller 136 forming a cleaning nip part; a feeding roller 132 feeding a cleaning member 133 provided in a previously wound state; a take-up roller 137 taking up the cleaning member which has been fed from the feeding roller part and passed through the cleaning nip part 139; and a control part starting a fixing function before forming an image and stopping it after forming the image and controlling the stop/start of taking up the cleaning member and the take-up amount of the cleaning member. The control part controls to take up the cleaning member and replace the cleaning member in the cleaning nip part in a non-fixing period that is a period before starting the fixing function next after performing fixing of a page just near to a page existing before stopping the fixing function.
