PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide acoustic panel equipment capable of arbitrarily changing sound absorption characteristics. SOLUTION: This acoustic panel equipment comprises: a panel frame body 11; a pair of wall surface panels 12 and 13 which are supported in parallel with each other at a predetermined interval on the panel frame body 11 so as to form an airtight space in the panel frame body 11, and which are composed of a plate material having at least the side of a sound receiving surface vibrated by an acoustic wave; an electrorheological fluid 30 which is sealed in the airtight space in the panel frame body 11; a plurality of electrode plates 21-25 which are connected to a DC power source 20 so as to apply a voltage to the electrorheological fluid 30 in the panel frame body; and an output voltage adjusting means (e.g. a voltage-variable volume) for adjusting the output voltage of the DC power source. An acoustic wave absorption factor can be varied by adjusting the voltage applied to the electrorheological fluid 30, so as to change the viscosity of the electrorheological fluid 30.
