The valve (VC) has flexible metal blade that is interleaved between closure structure and stop structures and having one end secured to structure having open passage. The closure structure is opened by deformation of flexible blade from open position in which the blade is pressed against closure structure to close position in which the blade fits closely against stop structure. The open passage for gas is opened in fully opened position. An independent claim is included for high voltage circuit breaker.
