摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle which reduces a fuel consumption amount for the recovery of a function of an exhaust emission control device at an automatic cruise mode while improving regeneration efficiency at high-speed traveling more than before, and improves fuel economy by reducing the fuel consumption amount at uphill traveling, and its control method.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle comprises a deceleration mechanism 30 which connects a propeller shaft 25 to a rotating shaft 32 of a motor generator 33. A control device 80 predicts a steep uphill road L3, selects and performs power generation recovery when a charging state Ce of a battery 35 is lower than a high-charging state Ch before arriving at a start point of the steel uphill road L3, and a purification state of an exhaust emission control device 75 is lower than a second state, and performs control for bringing the charging state Ce of the battery 35 into the high-charging state Ch before arriving at the start point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
