When an operator inputs and matches an auxiliary line (A2) on the left image with an auxiliary line (A1) on the right image and also inputs and matches an auxiliary line (B2) on the left image with an auxiliary line (B1) on the right image, a stereo matching process system (1) correlates, on a search plane, the coordinate (a2) where a scan line on the left image intersects the auxiliary line (A2) with the coordinate (a1) where the scan line on the right image intersects the auxiliary line (A1). Moreover, the stereo matching process system (1) correlates, on the search plane, the coordinate (b2) where the scan line on the left image intersects the auxiliary line (B2) with the coordinate (b1) where the scan line on the right image intersects the auxiliary line (B1). Thus, the stereo matching process system (1) can correct an erroneous correspondence on the search plane and accurately correlate the same position on the left image and the right image. |
