PURPOSE: An apparatus for canceling call noise is provided to allow a receiver to maintain good speech quality in a public area or at a place with much noise by removing noise of a voice signal of a speaker during call communication. CONSTITUTION: A microphone(310) receives a voice and a background noise. A CODEC(320) amplifies the voice and the background noise, and encodes the amplified signals to voice-coded data for digital processing. A noise removing unit(330) provides a general mode and a noise cancel mode in processing an output signal of the CODEC(320). In the noise cancel mode, a filtering process is performed with reference to a previously recorded voice of a speaker and a differential component of the output signal of the CODEC(320). A VOCODER(340) receives data outputted from the noise removing unit(330) and processes it as transmission data. A transmitter(350) receives the transmission data and transmits it to a base station.
