PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission capable of preventing stopping of an engine according to rapid lowering of the number of revolution of an input shaft when gripping a tire again after slip. SOLUTION: This transmission is provided with a low regime and a high regime for shifting an angular velocity ratio of an input shaft 5 and an output shaft 6 within a wide range. When the number of revolution of an output shaft 1 is low, the low regime is selected, and when the number of revolution of the output shaft 1 is high, the high regime is selected. When the output shaft 1 is connected with a drive wheel 51, the low regime is selected and the number of revolution of the output shaft 1 is increased by slip of the drive wheel 51, switching from the low regime to the high regime is inhibited. |
