PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which can stabilize the voltage in power generation, by enabling the magnetic flux from a rotor 10 to a stator 20 to be adjusted in simple structure, concerning an alternator 1 which is equipped with the rotor 10 for generating a rotating field by magnets 11 which is rotatively driven and arranged circumferentially, and the stator 20 for generating AC power by armatures 21 arranged circumferentially by the working of the rotating field, and a generator which is equipped with the alternator. SOLUTION: This alternator is equipped with an effective distance control means X, which stabilizes the voltage in power generation by controlling the effective distance between the magnet 11 and the armature 21.
