PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimum solution retrieval device capable of easily finding an optimum solution in a short time by using a retrieval process of genetic algorithm for finding out the optimum solution from a combination of a plurality of pieces of information and improving process speed within one environmental condition. SOLUTION: An optimum solution retrieval 1 for finding out an information body having solution optimal to a condition required by environment from information body group S1 formed by a plurality of information bodies (J1 to Jn) includes a retrieval process means 3 for retrieving and processing each information body (J1 to Jn) of the input information body group S1, an adaptability value calculation means 4 for calculating an adaptability value f of the solution indicated respectively by the information bodies (J1 to Jn), a change rate calculation means 9 for calculating a change rateΔf/ΔG of the adaptability value of each information body (J1 to Jn) and an introduced information body selection means 14 for selecting an introduced information body group for which the retrieval process is performed at present when the change rateΔf/ΔG of the adaptability value blunts.
