PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor for contact charging having an excellent effect of suppressing ghost and hardly causing ghost even when the photoreceptor is mounted in a color electrophotographic apparatus or an electrophotographic apparatus having no destaticizing means, and to provide a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus equipped with the electrophotographic photoreceptor for contact charging and with a contact charging means. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is used as the objective body to be charged by a contact charging means and comprises a supporting body, a charge generating layer containing a charge generating substance disposed on the supporting body, and a hole transport layer containing a hole transport substance disposed on the charge generating layer.
