PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of an audio signal to be collected by reducing only noise components in suppressing windy noise caused by a strong wind blowing against a microphone unit. SOLUTION: Signal components having frequencies not higher than a predetermined frequency and a localization mode out of a determined mode are reduced to suppress the windy noise components. For example, a signal component having a frequency not higher than a predetermined frequency and localized at an angle out of a predetermined localization angle is reduced. Alternatively, a signal component having a frequency not higher than a predetermined frequency in which a change mode of a localization angle in a time axis direction is out of a predetermined mode is reduced. Alternatively, a signal component having a frequency not higher than a predetermined frequency in which a difference in localization angle between its frequency band and the adjacent frequency band is larger than a predetermined value is reduced. Thus, only the noise components can be suppressed and the deterioration of the sound quality of an audio signal to be collected can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
