PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording device capable of attaining space saving. SOLUTION: A drum 21 conveys paper held to its outer peripheral surface 21a. An ink-jet head 2 is arranged so that an ink discharge surface 2a extended along a rotating shaft of the drum 21 faces the outer peripheral surface 21a. After a cap 62 moves along the conveyed direction of paper P until it faces the ink discharge surface 2a, the ink-jet head 2 moves into the cap position to seal the ink discharge surface 2a with the cap 62. A wiping member 66 extended in the width direction of the ink discharge surface 2a moves in the rotating shaft direction of the drum 21 to wipe the ink discharge surface 2a of the ink-jet head 2 in the wiping position.
