<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately convey preview information and function setting information to a user. <P>SOLUTION: In a touch panel display of an image forming apparatus, a function selection area is adjacent to a preview area. In the function selection area, a function setting menu is displayed in any display mode of an icon mode for displaying only an icon group 2100, a regular mode for displaying the icon group 2100 and a text group 2120, and an express mode for displaying the icon group 2100, the text group 2120, and a function setting button group 2140.
