<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary tool for mounting a hanging metal fitting, which can be combinedly used with a hanging metal fitting being used upside down. <P>SOLUTION: The auxiliary tool for mounting a hanging metal fitting comprises a metal fitting side fixed body 5 having a metal fitting abutting part 6 capable of abutting on the back side end 4A of the hanging metal fitting 4, a shape steel side fixed body 7 having a hook part 8 capable of being hooked on a flange portion 2 or a vertical surface of a shape steel 1 located opposite to the flange portion 2 to which the hanging metal fitting 4 is mounted and fixed, and a rod-shaped connecting body 9 whose one end is connected to the metal fitting side fixed body 5 and whose other end is connected to the shape steel side fixed body 7.
