A control device for an internal combustion engine applied to a vehicle provided with a clutch (16) between an internal combustion engine (11) and a transmission (12), wherein the control device is provided with a clutch sensor (21) for detecting the engaging or disengaging of the clutch (16), a TM load torque calculation unit (22) for calculating TM load torque which is the load torque of the transmission (12), and a required torque correction unit (22) for making TM load torque corrections which correct the required torque of the internal combustion engine (11) on the basis of the TM load torque calculated by the required torque correction unit (22), the required torque correction unit (22) changing the TM load torque corrections in accordance with the state of the clutch (16) detected by the clutch sensor (21). |
