PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic actuator that improves discharge properties for oil left between end faces of a rear plate and a stator while maintaining retaining power at a retraction limit.SOLUTION: A rear plate 44 is formed of a soft magnetic body, and joined to a permanent magnet 40 on a base end side of an output pin 60 for the permanent magnet 40. A stator 521 is formed of a soft magnetic body, and has, at a part of an end face 540 of an opposed part 54, "one or more recessed parts 211 that oil can enter and can be discharged from by its own weight" formed. Consequently, a relatively large clearance can be secured between an end face 443 of the rear plate 44 and a bottom face of a recessed part 211, so a capillarity phenomenon at the recessed part 211 can be avoided and the oil having entered the recessed part 211 can be discharged by its own weight. Further, a total area of an opposed part end face 540 where a clearance is small is secured at parts other than the recessed part 211, so that retaining power can be maintained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
