The heating roller arrangement (1) has a roller (2) and a heating unit, which has inductor arrangements (3-7) extending over work width of the roller. The inductor arrangements (4-7) are arranged in circumferential direction of the roller, and sum of the amount of heat producible by the inductor arrangements corresponds to the power demand of the roller. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a heating roller arrangement.
