The present invention relates to a food composition for obesity prevention or improvement and, more particularly, to a food composition for obesity prevention or improvement and a method for manufacturing the same, the food composition containing as an effective component a mixture of garcinia cambogia and alginic acid, the garcinia cambogia contributing to body fat reduction by suppressing lipogenesis from carbohydrate and the alginic acid suppressing fat absorption by reducing an activity of a pancreas-derived lipase enzyme. According to the present invention, the food composition for obesity prevention or improvement containing the garcinia cambogia-alginic acid mixture as an effective component is manufactured along with various products containing the food composition, and thus various processed food and functional food for obesity prevention or improvement can be provided that are useful for weight reduction, have an anti-obesity activity, are nutritious, are tasty, and have a very low calorie content. |
