<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique whereby both ensuring of a texture by a special gloss ink and ensuring of a saturation by a dye-based color ink can be attained. <P>SOLUTION: The printing device includes: a printing head which has a special gloss ink ejection head for ejecting the special gloss ink that presents a special gloss and a dye-based color ink ejection head for ejecting the dye-based color ink; and an ejection controller which carries out ejection of the special gloss ink from the special gloss ink ejection head and ejection of the dye-based color ink from the dye-based color ink ejection head, thereby printing a special gloss region using the special gloss ink and printing a coloring region using the dye-based color ink to the special gloss region. The ejection controller has a first printing mode in which printing of the coloring region is carried out in a main scan later in time than a main scan of the printing head in which printing of the special gloss region is carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
