The invention relates to a hydrometallurgical process for the separation and recovery of lead from sulphidic concentrates as highly pure metallic lead, meant to be used in the field of primary lead extraction metallurgy. According to the invention, the process consists in oxidizing a lead concentrate in an aqueous medium, in an oxidizing atmosphere, by treating it in admixture with acidified water at a pH value of 0...3, in the presence of Feions, at a temperature of 100...250°C and partial oxygen pressure of at least 10 barr, for 5 min, followed by treating the oxidized lead concentrate with 0.1...1.0 M sodium hydroxide solutions, at a temperature of 5...100°C, for 3 min, after which there takes place the solubilization of the lead in the lead concentrate oxidized and desulphated by treating the same with hexafluorosilicon acid-depleted electrolyte, at a temperature of at least 5°C, for at least 5 min, filtering and separating it from the solution, by electrolysis, at a current density of 80...1500 A/m.
|
