<p>A method and an apparatus for removing labels (12) and/or for washing containers (10) in recyclable plastic material; the containers (10) with labels (12) to be removed are supplied upwards from the bottom of a vertical screw feeder (15), in which a water flow is supplied from above to drag the removed labels (12′) downwards into a collection chamber (31) positioned underneath an inlet opening (20) for the containers (10) in the vertical screw feeder (15); the water flow for downwardly dragging the removed labels (12′), may also be used for removing contaminants and washing the containers (10) while they are moving upwards.</p> |
