PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses the occurrence of unevenness in density even after images are repeatedly formed.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus comprising: a photoreceptor 7 that includes an outermost surface layer formed of a hardened film of a composition including a reactive charge transport material; a charging device (charging means) 8; an exposure device (electrostatic latent image forming means) 9; a developing device (developing means) 11; a transfer device (transfer means) 40; and a cleaning device (cleaning means) 13 that includes a cleaning blade 131 that is in contact with the surface of the photoreceptor 7 to clean the photoreceptor 7, where while the photoreceptor 7 is driven to rotate and the cleaning blade 131 is in contact with the photoreceptor 7 via a toner, the standard deviation C of the amount of distortion of the cleaning blade 131 is 1.0 μST≤C≤3.0 μST.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
