A permanent magnet rotor comprising a hub (4), flux concentrating members (5) arranged radially outwards of and at a distance from the hub (4), which members are located at a distance from each other as seen in the rotational direction of the rotor so as to provide several spaces (6) for receiving permanent magnets (15), each space being located between two adjacent flux concentrating members (5), at least one permanent magnet (15) being arranged in the respective space. The rotor (13) further comprises two essentially plate-shaped and essentially radially extending walls (2, 2a) arranged opposite each other at a mutual axial distance from each other, which are fastened to the hub (4) and between which the flux concentrating members (5) are mounted, said flux concentrating members (5) being carried by said walls so that the hub (4), the poles (5) and the walls (2, 2a) together constitute the supporting structure of the rotor. The invention also relates to a generator comprising such a permanent magnet rotor and a method for producing such a permanent magnet rotor. |
