PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a labeling reagent that can specifically bond to thiol group in protein and can extract labeled protein by the reactivity with the antibody having the labeling reagent itself and the fluorescence property. SOLUTION: The labeling reagent for a dansyl group-bearing thiol group is represented by formula (I) (wherein X is a halogen, m is an integer of 1 through 3, n is an integer of 2 through 8).
