PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing the performance in the initial service stage. SOLUTION: A shallow groove 26 of a zigzag shape oscillating in the tire width direction with the predetermined pitch P1 and amplitude V1 while the same direction as the tire width direction is the longitudinal direction on the whole is formed in a tread of a block 20. The substantial length of the shallow groove 26 is longer than a straight shallow groove, and more water can be taken in the shallow groove 26. The water discharging effect of a pneumatic tire 10 is enhanced, the ground contact property is improved, and the performance in the initial service stage can be further improved.
