<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a receptacle for chip card which can increase the number of allowable operation cycles and is inexpensive and has a simple structure. SOLUTION: A receptacle 10 includes housings 12 and 14 having card acceptance holes and a receptacle contact 16 fixed to the base of these housings, and the receptacle contact includes a contact part to be engaged with a card contact after insertion. An actuator 20 is movably attached to a cover 12 of housings so that it can be moved to the non-operation position where it allows a card to be inserted toward a complete insertion position beyond the contact part with the force applied to the contact part practically set to zero and the operation position where it biases the card so as to engage its card contact with the contact part of the receptacle contact. The actuator has a bias part 62 and an operation part 64 which moves the actuator from the non-operation position to the operation position.</p> |
