PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the irradiation to skin of non-woven fabrics which are used for an absorbent article as much as possible. SOLUTION: A long-sized absorbent body 3 is pinched between the internal surface of a liquid-permeable top sheet 2 and the internal surface of a liquid- impermeable back sheet 1, and solid gathers 7a and 7b are provided along both side edge sections in the longitudinal direction on the external surface of the liquid-permeable top sheet. Or, on the external surface of the liquid- impermeable back sheet, an armor sheet 13 is further placed for this absorbent article. In such an absorbent article, a silk protein is adhered to either one or two or more of the non-total surface of an non-woven fabric for the liquid- permeable top sheet 2, the non-total surface of a non-woven fabric for the solid gathers 7a and 7b, and the non-total surface of a non-woven fabric for the armor sheet 13.
