PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a discontinuity in printing caused by the release of a printing medium from the clamping part of a feed roller and a pinch roller in printing in a state of no bottom margin of the printing medium. SOLUTION: When the part near the rear end of the printing medium 11 is to be printed with a printhead 50 having a nozzle, a group of nozzles different from that of used regarding the other part of the printing medium 11 is used after a large advancing movement of the printing medium.
