#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves exposing contact surfaces for connecting inner electrodes (7, 8) with external electrodes (10, 11) at a peripheral surface of a piezo element (6) by selective removal of sintered skin at the contact surfaces. The sintered skin is left as an electrically insulated protective layer (24) on the remaining peripheral surface, which is free from the contact surfaces.
