PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner capable of improving the degree of freedom in designing an impervious part and a fan of a blower while preventing an unfavorable influence upon an electric part caused by the intrusion of water to the inside of an electric component box. SOLUTION: This outdoor unit of the air conditioner includes: a partition plate 4 partitioning the interior of a casing 2 into a heat exchange chamber S1 where a heat exchanger 6 and a blower 8 are disposed and a machine room S2, and having a hole 4a making the heat exchange chamber S1 communicate with the machine room S2; and the electric component box 14 disposed on the machine room S2 side of the hole 4a and fitted to the partition plate 4. The electric component box 14 has an impervious part 22f for interrupting a passage which allows water entering the machine room S2 from the heat exchange room S1 through the hole 4a to enter the inside of the electric component box 14 from above.
