A method and server for storing files. The method comprises that: the server receives a creating request from a user; the server searches for a file tag which is matched with the file in the creating request; and a file tag is created and stored according to the file in the creating request if the tag is not found. By the solution of the present invention, only when the file tag which is matched with the file in the creating request is not found, the file tag would be created and stored according to the file in the creating request, and there is no need to store the file in the creating request every time when the creating request is received from the user, thereby saving storage space for the server. |
