<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bioabsorbable stent of which the shape, the degree of decomposition, or the placement site can be checked without incising a patient. <P>SOLUTION: The bioabsorbable stent is made of a bioabsorbable material. The bioabsorbable material contains a contrast medium. Since the bioabsorbable stent contains a contrast medium, the stent can be detected, for example, from outside the living body.
