PURPOSE: A display apparatus and control method thereof are provided to eliminate the noise of a display video by filtering an interference signal component according to a frequency characteristic. CONSTITUTION: An image processing unit(200) processes an image signal in which is received in an image reception unit(100). A noise processing unit(500) deducts the frequency location information of an interference signal component from the frequency domain of a sync section in which is extracted from the image signal. The noise processing unit revises the display image of the noise processing unit based on the deducted frequency location information. The interference signal component is inserted into a predetermined frequency band. The interference component generates the noise about the image in which is displayed on a display unit(300).
