According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is an electronic device. The electronic device: obtains biometrics related to a user of the electronic device; determines situation information related to the user based on at least the biometrics; and displaying a notification corresponding to the biometrics through a display functionally connected to the electronic device when the situation information corresponds to a first designated situation, and automatically executing an application related to the biometrics when the situation information corresponds to a second designated situation. There are other possible embodiments. Therefore, the electronic device can determine the information changing or displaying the user interface based on the biometrics related to the user, so a service provided in the electronic device can be efficiently used.
