Provided is a phosphor aggregate nanoparticle that, given that precipitation and/or agglomeration, particularly agglomeration, of the phosphor aggregate nanoparticle can be suppressed when carrying out immunostaining using the phosphor aggregate nanoparticle, can be used in staining even after being stored for a long period of time without needing to carry out a complicated operation, said nanoparticle preferably having excellent performance, such as staining properties, even after being stored for a long period of time. This phosphor aggregate nanoparticle has an average sphericity f value of 0.80-0.95 and preferably has an average circumferential length ratio R value of 0.50-0.95. More preferably, the matrix of the particle comprises an organic compound, the average particle size is 300 nm or less, and a biological component-binding molecule is bound to the surface of the particle. |
