In an exterior material according to the present invention, a circumferential edge portion region of a first metallic foil layer (3) and a circumferential edge portion region of a second metallic foil layer (13) are bonded through a thermoplastic resin-containing circumferential edge sealing portion (31); a plurality of bare cells (20) are separated from each other in an inner space surrounded by the first metallic foil layer (3), the second metallic foil layer (13), and the circumferential edge sealing portion (31); a partition region between the adjacent bare cells in the first metallic foil layer (3) and a partition region between the adjacent bare cells in the second metallic foil layer (13) are bonded through a thermoplastic resin-containing partition sealing unit (32) so that the inner space is partitioned into a plurality of independent individual chambers (33). Also, a first metallic foil-inside exposed portion (3a) and a positive electrode portion of the bare cell (20) are electrically connected and a second metallic foil-inside exposed portion (13a) and a negative electrode portion of the bare cell (20) are electrically connected in each of the individual chambers (33), and the bare cell (20) and an electrolyte are sealed in each of the individual chambers (33). The present invention may provide an electrical storage device which can be bent and can have a large capacity. |
