PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of executing a function of higher added-value.SOLUTION: In the digital broadcast, a content transmitted by a first medium transport system contains a plurality of video data and the information about the layout when displaying the plurality of video data on a screen. The control state of a control unit, when outputting a received content from a digital interface to an external apparatus, includes a first control state for outputting the content by the first medium transport system, as it is, and a second control state for outputting the content after converting into a second medium transport system in a transport system conversion unit. In the second control state, the video data to be contained in the content, that is outputted while converting into the second medium transport system, is selected from a plurality of video data, based on the correspondence with the information about the layout.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 29A |
