PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having a pixel section and a protection circuit outside the pixel section.SOLUTION: A protection circuit includes first to fourth transistors 740a-740d. A gate of the first transistor 740a is electrically connected to a scan line 650, a first terminal thereof is electrically connected to the scan line 650, and a second terminal thereof is electrically connected to common wiring 651. A gate of the second transistor 740c is electrically connected to the common wiring 651, a first terminal thereof is electrically connected to the scan line 650, and a second terminal thereof is electrically connected to the common wiring 651. A gate of the third transistor 740d is electrically connected to the common wiring 651, a first terminal thereof is electrically connected to the scan line 650, and a second terminal thereof is electrically connected to the common wiring 651.
