An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel is provided to increase display characteristics, such as contrast, by slopingly installing a plurality of slits for scanning lines so that a slope having a slight angle can be formed between the second electrode and the rubbing direction of an alignment film. An LCD panel(10A) comprises an array substrate, a color filter substrate, and an LC(Liquid Crystal) layer. The array substrate has a plurality of scanning lines(12), a plurality of signal lines(17), the first electrode(14), the second electrode(21), and a plurality of slits(20A). The scanning lines are installed in parallel. The signal lines are orthogonal to the scanning lines. The first electrode is formed at the area made by the scanning lines(12) and the signal lines(17). The second electrode is formed as an insulation film is applied on the first electrode. The slits are installed on the second electrode in the direction of crossing the signal lines. The color filter substrate has a color filter layer. The LC layer, inserted between the array substrate and the color filter substrate, is driven by an electric field generated between the first electrode and the second electrode. One end of each of the slits is opened. From a plane view, the central line of the color filter is biased toward the opened portion of each slit from the central line of the second electrode.
