PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the drying efficiency of a drier which performs the drying operation of objects to be dried such as clothes inside a housing chamber housing the objects to be dried. SOLUTION: The drier includes: a refrigerant circuit 20 composed by successively and annularly piping and connecting at least a compressor 21, a heat radiator 22, an expansion valve 23 (pressure reducing device) and an evaporator 34; an air circulation route 50 constituting the air circulation of sending air heat-exchanged with the heat radiator 22 into the housing chamber 10 by a fan 55 (blowing means), sending the air caused to pass through the housing chamber 10 to the evaporator 24 and then returning it to the heat radiator 22 again; a bypass route 40 provided in the air circulation route 50 for making circulated air reach the heat radiator 22 without passing through the evaporator 24; a damper 70 (flow path adjusting means) for adjusting a ratio between an air amount passing through the evaporator 23 and an air amount passing through the bypass route 40; and a controller C (control means) for controlling the damper 70.
